✨ How was Ninfea created:
I decided I needed to paint and explore and be free with brushes because I have spent a lot of time doing very refined and detailed work recently. Whilst admiring Claude monets gardens along with his work “water lilies” I was compelled to translate this sense of technique and colour palette into this piece.
The name Ninfea comes from the Latin word Ninfea which means water Lilly, tying together the inspiration for the painting.
This painting has a custom mount featuring the pieces title and 8 tiny handmade butterflies. Framed with a real wood frame which beautifully compliments the works colour palette.
It had been created using watercolour, markers, lots of oil pastels and mixed media and different applicational techniques, developed with multiple layers to bring forward the muscle structure and depth. Upon this work, you will see 8 handmade 3D butterflies.
