''Hermes" William Morris Collection second phase release

Limited edition, part release in A4 and A3. "Hermes" 

I am releasing another 10 of the limited editions available from the total amount before the 12 days of Christmas this print will hang complimentary to Athena .

Story behind the works:

''The William Morris collection stemmed from my love of patterns, in particular Persian carpets which patterns have been said to influence William Morris's work. 

Many of us will connect with the patterns as we grew up seeing them among our homes and in recent centuries. William had mastered his work for designing wallpaper in the 1870's and became very popular.

This piece is named ''Hermes'' after the ancient Greek god. Hermes was a god of Luck, Fertility, animal husbandry, wealth, sleep, language and travel. He was one of the most mischievous and cleverest out of the 12 Olympian gods.

I think you will agree with me that the horses playful composition brings a sense of joy and energetic movement to the works and the name Hermes is quite fitting. The butterflies are to represent creativity and  transformation.

If you look closely you will notice the patterns emerging from within the horse and the butterflies. This work has been very challenging yet rewarding and I look forward to creating more of the collection."

This work is printed using a fine art printer, on an archival, matte, velvet fine art paper, I decided to change the prints paper to a softer watercolour texture to really bring out the deep tones. The paper is very similar to a hot pressed watercolour sheet which has a smooth texture.

Every piece has an identifying number and is hand-signed.

Mounted with a backboard and cellophane cover, this piece is ready to be gifted or popped straight into a frame.

A little help with framing:

For the print size A4 which comes with mounting this will fit into 12" x 16" frame.(please use the frame size 12" x 16" with no mounting included)  

For the print size A3 which come with mounting this will fit into a 20" x 16" frame (please use the frame size 16" x 20" with no mounting included)  

A4 image size is the UK standard printer paper size  21.0 x 29.7cm, 

A3 image size is double A4 29.7 x 42.0cm

A2 image size is double A3 42.0 x 59.4 cm

International (A3, A2 ONLY) orders outside of the EU please be aware that your order will not come mounted, but presented with a backboard, cellophane cover and ribbon, this is due to the increase in postage costs once the package is over a certain size. A4 orders will come mounted. Thank you for understanding.
