50cm x 70cm oil painting number four of the new collection. 'Eden'
oil paint with handmade butterflies.
This piece has had a slightly longer journey than any of the others in my collection that's due to be released at the end of this month.
I started painting this one in acrylic back in 2017 however after the first layer, sadly he just found himself back in the canvas box. I think this was due to how restrictive acrylic paint is compared oils and almost feel I was setting in free whilst painting him.
With this piece, I wanted to create him almost leaping towards you. The bold strokes were used to create energy and blocks of time! The handmade butterflies present freedom and spirit and the whole piece together works to create movement. I hope you like him
